Machine Operator I - Weekend Shifts (AM & PM) - Hamel, MNResponsibilities:Verifies operation to be performed and material to be used on each job as directed by documentationOperates machines and produces parts, monitors run to ensure consistent quality parts are being producedUses measuring devices and blueprints to inspect parts for tolerance and visually inspects surface for appearance and other potential problemsFollows SOP instructions and enters accurate data in JobBossCompletes 1st article and in process inspectionMay fit and assemble parts into complete assemblyUses hand tools, grinders, scotch brite and other special deburring tools to remove sharp edges from machined surfacesMaintains a safe and clean work areaLoads programs in or takes programs out of the computer controlPerforms setups of equipment with appropriate tooling and fixturesProvides training to existing and new employeesBenefits:401(k)Dental InsuranceHealth Insurance3 weeks Vacation PaySick PayPaid HolidaysShort Term DisabilityShift differentialRequirements:2+ years experience operating CNC machining working with small parts in a heavy manufacturing environment or a 2 year technical degree in machining.Effective communication both verbal and written in EnglishInterest in learning and continued professional growthKnowledge of Quality Assurance StandardsKnowledge and skill of measuring and inspection equipmentKnowledge and skill in Statistical Process ControlHands on skills in CNC Swiss machiningGeometric Tolerance and ability to interpret drawingsSummary:The CNC Machinist is an operations team member with the primary goal of satisfying customer requirements of quality, and delivery, by operating CNC machining centers in a safe and efficient manner. The duties include the operation of a CNC machining centers that are commensurate to industry standards, with regards to program edits, setting up of tooling, and setting up the machine tool in general. Secondary deburring and inspecting of finished parts, along with moving products to appropriate locations while following the proper procedures are required. Main responsibilities to include operating machines and equipment used in the manufacturing of precision products and working to effectively meet or exceed expectations for product quality and production rates.
