Job description
Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Newburyport, MAMachine Operator's Overview: We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Machine Operators/Inspectors. No experience is required—we are willing to train entry-level candidates!In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, sorting, and weighing molded plastic parts to ensure they meet customer specifications. You will support injection molding operations as well as secondary processes. We are committed to investing in our employees' long-term success and offering opportunities for advancement as you gain experience and demonstrate your abilities.Machine Operator's Job Functions:Operate injection molding machines according to specific MOM (Method of Manufacture) instructions when requiredAccurately record molded part quantities on job travelers and enter data into EpicorInspect manufactured parts to ensure conformance to specificationsIdentify, document, and remove nonconforming products by defect type per part specificationsNotify the Production Supervisor of excessive defects or quality concernsPerform in-process operations such as trimming, packing, and other secondary tasks per MOM instructionsComplete post-molding operations as requiredCount, weigh, and record accepted and rejected partsRead and interpret job travelers to determine inspection specifications and requirementsComplete documentation related to rework and nonconforming materialsReport any quality or mechanical issues to the Production Supervisor or Mold TechnicianMachine Operator's Other Functions & Responsibilities:Communicate effectively with team members and supervisorsUse critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address issuesWork overtime as needed to meet production demandsPerform other duties as assignedMachine Operator Qualifications:No prior experience required training will be providedAbility to follow detailed instructions and maintain accuracyStrong attention to detail and qualityEEO StatementDa/Pro Rubber, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
