Job description
Machine OperatorVolt is immediately hiring for a Machine Operator, in Kansas City, MO.As a Machine Operator, you will be:Responsible for moving loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard.Responsible for assembling pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintaining organized work supplies.Responsible for following safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe.Responsible for operating powered industrial equipment by OSHA guidelines and procedures.Responsible for setting up and maintaining machines for pipe fabrication.Responsible for measuring, recording, and adding random pipe lengths accurately.Responsible for measuring and cutting pipe using band saws or torches.Responsible for threading and beveling pipes using Landis machines, inspecting and maintaining forklift equipment.This is a full-time contract opportunity.The ideal candidate will have:Experience of maintenance and machinery such as pipe threaders, band saws, roll groove machines, plasma cutting, automatic welding machines, and pneumatic banders.Experience in using tape measures, and gauges for quality checks.Experience of inspecting and maintaining forklift equipment.Preferred Skills & QualificationsExperience with auto mechanics, machinery maintenance, automotive lines, diesel, or farm equipmentExperience in fire sprinkler pipe fabrication.Pay Rate: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Benefits: Volt offers benefits (based on eligibility) that include the following: health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), Sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law), Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits any kind of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
