Job description
Blow Molding Machine OperatorThe Blow Molding Machine Operator will operate blow-mold machines, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. The role involves troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of the production line while adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.ResponsibilitiesOperate blow-mold machines, including wheels, reciprocating, or shuttle machines, to produce quality bottles and perform audits, weights, and quality checks.Adhere to quality control and blow mold process procedures.Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on blow-mold and support equipment.Make necessary adjustments to meet product specifications.Assist with preventive maintenance, mold, neck, and blow pin changes, and other mechanical adjustments.Grind excess bottles and material.Troubleshoot and resolve process problems.Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs.Prepare and document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies, and more.Participate in general labor work such as loading and unloading machines, documenting quality results, basic cleaning, and scrap removal around the machine.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude and production experience.Experience with Blow Mold Machines.At least 1 year of machine operating experience.Ability to work on feet for a 12-hour shift minus breaks.Quality mindset and ability to follow production instructions.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in plastics manufacturing is beneficial.Skills in injection molding, extrusion, and machine setup are advantageous.Why Work Here?Join a team-oriented environment that emphasizes safety and uptime. Operators will be exposed to packaging equipment, conveyors, and automated systems. The work environment is team-oriented, focused on safety and efficiency. Steel-toed shoes are a must-have, while other PPE such as hair nets, beard nets, safety glasses, bump caps, and hearing protection will be provided and are required. Employees must remove fake nails, piercings, and jewelry while on duty.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.60 - $25.60/hr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
