Machine Operator – ManufacturingWe are seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join an established manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for safely operating production and cutting equipment to manufacture products according to daily production requirements and customer specifications. On-the-job training is provided, making this a great opportunity for someone with manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their machine-operation skills.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate assigned manufacturing and cutting equipment.Perform cutting operations according to production and customer specifications.Adjust cutting requirements as needed to maintain production efficiency.Inspect finished materials to ensure they meet quality specifications.Accurately label finished products.Record production information using a computerized system.Read and interpret a tape measure.Follow established work instructions and safety procedures.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Assist with inventory and other production duties as needed.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Previous machine or manufacturing experience is a plus; training is provided.Basic computer knowledge.Basic reading, writing, and math skills.Ability to accurately read a tape measure.Forklift certification required.Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.Dependable attendance and punctuality.Strong attention to quality and workplace safety.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for up to 10 hours.Frequent walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, and reaching.Frequent lifting of materials under 75 lbs.Repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with temperature and humidity changes.
