Machine Operator (Melt Ex) –1st ShiftLocation: Manchester, NHStarting Pay: $20.00 - $24.00/hour, based on experience (DOE)Schedule: Regular Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PMNo experience? Our products are used worldwide in aerospace, medical, chemical processing, power generation, and other demanding industries where quality and reliability matter.At TCI, you'll join a stable, growing manufacturing company that invests in modern equipment, employee development, continuous improvement, and product innovation.What You'll DoAs a Melt Ex Machine Operator, you'll set up and operate extrusion equipment, monitor and adjust processes, inspect product quality, troubleshoot issues, perform basic equipment maintenance, and document production activities while following quality and safety standards.Your responsibilities will include:Complete extrusion equipment set ups, startups, changeovers and shutdowns in accordance with standard operating procedures and production schedules.Make process adjustments as needed to ensure products meet required dimensional tolerances and visual quality standardsPerform in-process quality inspections, identify product and process issues, and troubleshoot film extrusion operations to maintain consistent product quality.Maintain production tooling, dies, and extrusion equipment in optimal operating condition; perform equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenance as required.Accurately complete process documentation, production records, and daily logs/reports.Identify and report non-conformances and collaborate with Production Management and Process Engineering to resolve technical and process-related issues.Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to fellow extrusion operators to promote effective and consistent production practices.Follow all plant safety procedures and guidelines, promptly report safety concerns, injuries, and workplace incidents, and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).Document the overall production process, including identifying, recording, and communicating potential product defects and quality concerns.RequirementsWhat We're Looking ForMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in plastics industry2-3 years of film / sheet or other melt extrusion experienceWeb handling experience, such as slitting, winding, or adhesive coatingKnowledge of how to drive a fork truckFamiliar with an ERP/Shop Floor Entry systemKnowledge of quality assuranceFamiliar with 6SPreferred QualificationsBasic Machining SkillsMechanical DexterityProblem solvingKnowledge of gauging, calibrating and processing equipmentBasic Math SkillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Physical RequirementsFrequently stand and walk throughout the shiftLift, move, and carry materials weighing up to 50 poundsBend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive tasksWork safely around manufacturing equipment while wearing required PPEBenefitsMedical InsuranceDental Insurance401(k)Company 401(k) MatchLife InsuranceAccidental Death & Dismemberment InsuranceShort-Term DisabilityLong-Term DisabilityPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysIf you're looking for a stable manufacturing career with opportunities to learn new skills, work with advanced materials, and grow with an industry leader, we'd like to hear from you.No recruiters or staffing agencies, please.
