Machine Operator (Packer)Cenveo, a leading North American envelope manufacturer, is hiring Machine Operators (Packers) for your Smyrna, GA facility. Responsible for packaging finished envelopes, inspecting products for quality, and preparing orders for shipment. Works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while following safety and production standards. Pay & Schedule Hourly Rate: $17 - $18/hr + 3rd shift premium 3rd shift premium $1.50/hr: 11pm - 7am Monday-Friday; Saturdays required during peak production or as business needs dictateWhat You'll DoLoads paper onto automatic hand-fed/web envelope folding machines; pack finished product.Inspects quality of envelopes, labels cartons, reports variances to key personnel.Checks current production orders/schedules to determine daily production requirements.May be required to complete reworkCleans up work area during/end of shift.Other duties as assigned/required.Job RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent.6 months of relevant work experience in a production environment.Quality inspection skills and ability to measure/read a ruler.Basic math, verbal/written communication, computer skills.Detail oriented, safety focused, and reliable.Consistent attendance and dependability are critical for this role.Physical RequirementsFrequent standing, bending, climbing, and reaching.Lift up to 55 lbs; manual dexterity required.Work around noise, machinery, inks, solvents, and glue.Ability to work in hot or cold conditions and stay alert around equipment.Able to keep pace with high-speed production for a full shift.CENVEO IS AN EEO EMPLOYER INDCVOP
