Job description
Machine Operator- RoanokeVolt is immediately hiring for a Machine Operator in Roanoke, VA.As a Machine Operator you will:Comply with safety policies and practicesMaintain a safe and clean working environmentUnderstand and operate multiple production machines to safely produce a sound quality productEnsure overall equipment effectiveness in accordance with established standards and guidelinesComplete charting and document production activities as required to meet or exceed quality standardsMonitor, maintain and adjust machines during continuous production to prevent machine stoppages and minimize wasteOperate and/or work around highly automated systems including robotic equipmentUnderstand and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures such as the BRC Food Safety Policy, GMP's, HACCP Principle, ISO14001 and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules while completing work tasksThis is a full-time opportunity.The ideal candidate will have:2 years of experience in high manufacturingHS Diploma or equivalentBasic PC KnowledgeAble to read and interpret drawings, review specifications, review work instructions and report line performanceMechanical AptitudeAble to work a flexible scheduleAbility to lift up to 50lbs frequentlyPay Rate: $21.50-$23.50 an hour*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Benefits: Volt offers benefits (based on eligibility) that include the following: health, dental, vision, term life, short term disability, AD&D, 401(k), Sick time, and other types of paid leaves (as required by law), Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits any kind of unlawful discrimination and harassment.
