Our strong work culture drives high employee satisfaction, and we're looking for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact.As a Machine Operator you will be responsible for setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting the cable machines. You will be under limited supervision and responsible for moderately complex manufacturing processes utilizing manual and automated equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, set-ups, operation, and adjustments as well as ensure processes and equipment remain within acceptable company manufacturing standards. You will also perform cleaning and troubleshooting while maintaining necessary documentation and maintaining the work area.This position is based in our St. George, UT location and reports to the Production Supervisor. The schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday, 6 am to 4:30 pm.This position has a competitive salary between $16 and $20.00/hour. Our employees enjoy a total rewards benefits and compensation package including a generous 3 weeks of Paid Time Off package starting on day one, 10 paid holidays, matching 401k, health insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid parental leave, employer-paid disability and life insurance, and telemedicine.Position OverviewPerform the setup and operation of machines on designated lines according to the production scheduleResponsible to request people, material and tools needed to meet production scheduleAble to coordinate team members as neededPerform some daily maintenance and/or repair work on equipment as neededPerform periodic quality checks and tests to ensure the best quality products are being producedResponsible for documentation and provide signature to verify compliance with all required quality specifications and procedure checks for the assigned areaEnsure all safety devices are fully operational and that safety procedures are being observedRecord all production performance, counts, downtime and other quality or production related information as requiredCommunicate changes and other production information to team membersMust follow all safety requirements of the position and help train team members of safety requirementsOther tasks as assignedThis job may be for you if you canLift up to 65 lbs. at any given timeAble to push/pull more than 200lbs. at any given timeOccasional bending, crouching, kneeling, and/or sitting in tight spaces will be necessaryRequirements6+ months in a production position preferredAbility to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet tight deadlinesExperience with minor mechanical repairs (e.g., jams, using tools, making basic adjustments to equipment, etc.)Experience with preventative maintenance (e.g., inspecting and maintaining equipment, detecting and correcting issues before they occur, etc.)Strong computer skills are required including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)Ready to Join Us?If this role sounds like a fit, please fill out our quick 3-minute, mobile-friendly application.
