Job description
Machine OperatorWe are looking for a skilled Machine Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery. You'll ensure the efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits; This position has the direct responsibility of milling the parts in a timely, consistent, and quality manner while controlling labor and material usage.Duties and Responsibilities:Process the jobs according to the priorities on the schedule.Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycleControl and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed)Feed raw material or parts to semi?automated machinesInspect parts with precision and measuring toolsTest operation of machines periodicallyFix issues that might occur during the shiftCheck output to spot any machine?related mistakes or flawsKeep records of approved and defective units or final productsMaintain activity logsQualifications and Education Requirements:Proven experience as a machine operatorWorking knowledge of diverse high?speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)Understanding of production proceduresAdherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)Analytical skillsAttention to detailTeamwork and communication skillsPhysical stamina and strengthPreferred education, experience, and training: High School or Technical Career, is a PlusPreferred Skills:A thorough knowledge of the product, process, and equipment.Excellent interpersonal skillsMust have a high energy level and the ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast paced environmentWe offer competitive wages, benefits, and paid time offMon.-Fri. 2 pm to 10 pm
