You'll work as part of our production team operating and monitoring specialized furnaces and equipment used to manufacture high-performance metal products.What You'll DoAs a Machine Operator in Furnace/Sintering, you'll be responsible for safely operating production furnaces and related equipment while helping ensure our products meet established specifications and quality requirements.During a typical shift, you'll:Safely operate and monitor production furnaces and/or boxesPrepare furnaces and materials for productionSelect the proper bricks for loading partsVisually inspect and properly handle green and finished partsSafely load and unload parts and materials, including sandMonitor and record furnace speed and temperature and make appropriate adjustments when neededInspect parts and accurately record results using tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicatorsIdentify production orders and maintain accurate product traceabilityFollow established safety procedures, including procedures for loss of power involving hydrogenComplete required production and inspection recordsKeep your work area clean, safe, and organizedPerform other production duties as assigned by group leaders or supervisorsRequirementsYou Could Be a Great Fit If You:Have a high school diploma or equivalentHave basic knowledge of measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicatorsCan perform basic arithmeticCan interpret and follow specifications and production requirementsCan follow written and verbal instructionsCan communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in EnglishShow up consistently and can be counted onEnjoy hands-on workAre comfortable working around manufacturing equipmentPay attention to detailsTake safety seriouslyCan accurately record production and inspection informationWork well as part of a teamAre a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident, as required by business needs and applicable trade compliance requirementsPrevious manufacturing experience is helpful, but it is not required.
