Machine Operator Specialist 1 DirectThe primary function of this job is to support the production of the Rika automated equipment. This job requires accountability for manufacturing procedures and associated documentation for automated manufacturing equipment and processes. This includes material handling functions, inspecting product, testing, assembling, bonding, or welding components or subassemblies together in accordance with assembly drawings and written procedures.Essential duties and requirements include operating a complex automated process, assisting with lot open/close processes, picking parts from supermarket and efficiently loading machines, ensuring the proper documentation of raw material batches in the Device History Record (DHR), operating automated equipment along with associated work cells, conducting product and equipment inspections, reading HMIs, troubleshooting, cleaning machines, supporting Category II Preventative Maintenance, communicating issues related to product quality/efficacy, machine performance, and employee safety, working overtime to meet business needs, interfacing frequently with computer and basic Microsoft office software, contributing to team achieving operational and quality excellence, taking ownership of assigned machine and/or manufacturing process, possessing a continuous improvement and problem solving mindset, embracing lean manufacturing tools, ensuring machines hit target output and efficiency, escalating production, quality or safety issues to leadership immediately, participating crossfunctionally in problem solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement related to safety, quality, production processes, and raw material issues, facilitating team's goal of delivering high quality supply, maintaining GMP, GDP and quality standards, performing off-line sampling for SPC, inspecting, measuring, testing, recording, interpreting SPC data and subassembly testing, assisting with process verifications after corrective maintenance work orders, partnering with supervisor to ensure required training is completed on time, contributing to identification, resolution and sorting of non conforming products and processes, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and engagement, adhering to safety and cleanliness policies, living and maintaining the 6S environment, proactively identifying safety concerns in your area of responsibility and reporting to floor leadership, recommending solutions related to safety concerns and ergonomics.Minimum qualification requirements include a high school diploma or GED preferred, experience in Process Control (PC) testing and molding/welding quality requirements is preferred, working knowledge with HMI interactions is preferred, process knowledge of the Auto Cell and RF work centers is preferred, demonstrated knowledge and maintained competency in all areas required at the assembler level. Physical requirements include use of personal protective equipment, reading, speaking, hearing, walking, bending, standing, stretching/reaching, and hand/finger dexterity. Must be able to work in a clean room environment, adhere to associated policies, and perform gowning of clean room attire in the allotted time prior to start up. Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and transport up to 500 pounds via carts/racks, up to 1,500 pounds by pallet jack and up to 5,000 pounds by electric pallet jack. Requires good manual dexterity and visual acuity including ability to distinguish colors. Must be able to maintain pace with the area assigned. Requires the ability to regularly perform repetitive motions. Must be able to work under fluorescent lighting. Requires the ability to stand or walk throughout the duration of a shift. Pass hearing acuity and vision test with corrected vision.
