Machine OperatorLocation: Torrance, CA Pay: $23.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM Employment Type: Full-TimeAbout the Company: Our client is an established, privately held distributor specializing in high-reliability electrical insulation, cable management, and related products. The company has been in business for more than 70 years and supports customers across highly regulated and quality-driven industries, including aerospace, medical device, electronics, automotive, energy, and other manufacturing sectors.What You'll Do: The Machine Operator will operate plastic tubing cutting and marking equipment while ensuring finished products meet customer specifications and quality standards. Key responsibilities include:Read and follow job specifications, work instructions, purchase orders, and drawingsSet up machines and jobs according to drawings and production requirementsOperate plastic tube cutting and marking equipmentPerform type setting and machine adjustmentsMeasure materials and finished parts using rulers, scales, and calipersPosition materials and workpieces correctly in fixtures or against machine guidesContinuously inspect finished products for accuracy, positioning, clarity, length, and overall qualityPerform basic machine setup and routine maintenance, including oiling machines, dies, and workpiecesUse computers to create labels and enter timekeeping informationMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow established safety procedures at all timesWhat We're Looking For: High school diploma or GED preferred Previous machine operation, production, manufacturing, or related experience preferred Ability to read and understand written instructions and basic drawings Comfortable performing basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals Ability to accurately use a ruler, scale, and dial calipers Strong attention to detail and quality Dependable and able to work effectively with others Safety-conscious and comfortable working around moving mechanical equipmentPhysical Requirements: This position requires extended periods of sitting and/or standing, frequent reaching and use of the hands, and the ability to regularly lift or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Work Environment: This is an onsite production environment where employees regularly work around moving mechanical equipment. The work environment generally has a moderate noise level.
