Location: West Monroe, LA
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Schedule: Mon- Fri 6 am-2:30 pm
Push Buttons, Pull Levers, Cash Paychecks.

Staffmark is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to produce and repair custom components for industrial equipment using traditional machining methods. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects where craftsmanship, accuracy, and problem-solving are highly valued.
Job Duties
Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, drill presses, grinders, saws, and other machine shop equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, sketches, and work orders.
Machine parts to specified dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments.
Inspect completed work using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, cutting tools, and materials for machining operations.
Repair, modify, and fabricate replacement parts for industrial equipment.
Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain equipment in safe working condition.
Troubleshoot machining and dimensional issues and make necessary adjustments.
Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Follow all company quality, safety, and operational procedures.
Education Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
Experience Requirements
Must have 3+ years of experience running manual machining equipment, including lathes and milling machines.
Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation.
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation.
Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards.
Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.
Ability to read blueprints
Preferred Qualifications
Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Machine Operator.
Technical school or machinist training preferred.
Physical Capabilities
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
