Job description
Machine OperatorOperate manual and automated saws to cut metal bar, tube, plate, or structural material according to work orders. Perform in-process and final inspections using go/nogo gages and tape measures. Bundle material and place it on pallets using a forklift, and may be required to build pallets. Set up saws, adjust feeds and speeds, and select appropriate blades for material type. Monitor cutting operations to ensure accuracy, surface finish, and dimensional compliance. Perform routine maintenance such as blade changes, lubrication, and cleaning of equipment. Record production data, inspection results, and material usage in logs or digital systems. Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, PPE requirements, and safe material-handling practices. The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
