Job description
Machine OperatorPriority Personnel is seeking a Machine Operator for a manufacturing company located in San Marcos, TX.Pay rate: $26.00/hr plus $2.00/hour premium for nightsWork Schedule: Rotating 12 hour shifts, 6:00pm-6:00amJob DutiesSet up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production orderControl and adjust machine settings (e.g. speedFeed raw material or parts to manual or semi-automated machineInspect parts with precision measuring toolsTest operation of machines periodicallyFix and/or report issues that might occur during the shiftVerify output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flawsKeep records of approved and defective units and/or final productsMaintain daily logs/recordsFollow all safety rules, assure others follow safety rules and correct or report any safety issues immediatelyRequirementsWorking knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)Understanding of production procedures, manufacturing specifications, etc.Basic computer skills for e-mail, record keeping and to access job related work instructionsAbility to read and write English.High school diploma or equivalent
