Job description
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in functional safety engineering (7–10+ preferred)
• Strong hands-on experience with Safety PLC systems and programming
• Proven experience in safety circuit design, review, and validation
• Experience conducting safety audits and compliance assessments
• Functional Safety Certification (e.g., TÜV Functional Safety Engineer / FSE)
• Strong understanding of:
o ISO 13849-1
o ANSI B11
o OSHA standards
Education Requirements:
• Technical associate's degree or higher in Engineering or related field
• Functional Safety certification (FSE / TÜV) is required.
Nice to Have (Preferred Skills):
Experience with risk assessment tools
Knowledge of FMEA / FMEDA methodologies
Hands-on experience with Safety PLC platforms such as:
Allen-Bradley Guard Logix
Omron Sysmac Safety
Siemens TIA Portal / Step 7 (Safety)
Keyence GC Configurator
Toyopuc PCWin Safe
