They can solve most non-routine process problems. The associate at this level is more aware of the overall business and can recognize the need for and escalate process improvements to standard work that reduce cost and/or improve quality and delivery. They may interact with associates in other functional areas and can oversee and assist with department development.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Support production objectives by:Performing set-up related dutiesTroubleshooting production problems relating to equipment, tooling, and processesSupport of company philosophies, systems, and policies through actions and words.Perform all the duties of a JLG level 4 or higher operator for a specific department.Setup equipment to standard work.Train and educate operators. Assist with the assessment, implementation, and documentation of associate and departmental development plans and competency progress plans.Offers ideas and looks for improvement of processes.Advanced troubleshooting of production problems relating to equipment, tooling, and processesBe the subject matter expert regarding the technical and mechanical portion of machining.Drives to obtain and reduce setup target objectivesFacilitate Shift Start up and departmental meetingsAssist in the development of new processes and/or standard workDrive changes to reduce cost and improve department metricsPerform, train and assist in preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling as needed. Considerable standing, stooping and bending is required.
