Job TitleWe believe our employees are the reason for our success, and our compensation and benefits are designed to reflect that belief.Summary Of The JobThis position is for a mechanically inclined individual who possesses a positive attitude and desire to continuous improvement. This position requires setting up all tooling for machines, program, run, and perform their own quality checks.This person will be a key player in ensuring first time quality and delivery change over components to the headers. The Tool/Pack Room will work toward ensuring on-time delivery and first time quality of changeover components to the headers during changeovers.Principal Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide assistance to machine operators on new job developmentAbility to operate Tool Room equipment with limited supervision to meet necessary quality and productivity requirements. Horizontal, vertical hones, OD/ID grinders, surface grinders, centerless, and polishing.Ability to read most manufacturing and tooling prints, select and prepare necessary tools to meet print tolerances.Utilize Toolroom inspection equipment - micrometers, calipers, indicators, contour tracers, microscope, and comparators.Maintains cleanliness of work area.Follows company safety guidelines.Performs preventative maintenance when required.Programming and setup of CNC machines.Knowledge of tools to perform turning, milling, drilling, and boring.Responsible for own inspection of tooling.Strong Mathematical and problem solving skills.All other duties as assigned.Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities RequiredBasic computer skills using Google Workspace (sheets, docs, drive, chat, Gmail, etc.)Solid math skillsMechanically inclined, shop classes or manufacturing process training is requiredBasic problem solving skills Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problemsWillingness to learn new areas of the businessWe consider all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, marital status, handicap, genetic infiltration, disability or status as a veteran.
