Machine Shop Forman - Direct - Bourne, MAThe ideal candidate will have strong machining expertise, be proficient in reading blueprints, and have the leadership skills necessary to guide a team effectively.ResponsibilitiesDirect and coordinate production, processing, distribution activities of machine shop.Plan, direct, or coordinate the work activities and resources necessary for manufacturing products in accordance with cost, quality, and quantity specifications.Manage quotes, develop budgets and approve expenditures for supplies and materials, ensuring that materials, labor, and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.Qualifications:5 to 10 years of machining experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role.Strong leadership and supervisory skillsExcellent technical knowledge of machining operations and equipmentAble to quote jobsProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices in the field.Ability to communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and subcontractors.
