Machine Shop MachinistLocation: South Plainfield, NJType: Contract To HireCompensation: $24 to $28/hour, depending on experienceWork Model: OnsiteHours: Monday through Friday (9AM to 5PM)Summary: We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Machinist to support our internal machine shop and engineering teams. This position may be full-time or part-time, and experienced retired machinists are welcome to apply.Responsibilities:Operate machine shop equipment to fabricate, modify, and repair precision parts, fixtures, and components for Fab equipment and engineering needsRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, sketches, dimensions, and tolerancesUse precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and qualityWork directly with engineers and technicians to understand requirements and develop practical machining solutionsMaintain a safe, clean, and organized machine shopAs our needs grow, support the expansion and development of a more comprehensive internal machine shop capabilityQualifications:3+ years of hands-on machining experience preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and demonstrated machining skillsAbility to independently read engineering drawings and fabricate parts to required dimensions and tolerancesStrong craftsmanship, problem-solving skills, and attention to detailMachinist certification, apprenticeship, or technical/vocational training preferredSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
