Job description
Job TitleShall facilitate, lead, direct, and train L.E. Jones Co. employees in the production of a high quality product that meets or exceeds customer specifications in a timely and efficient manner.Minimum RequirementsHigh School Education, good organizational skills, able to get along with people and gain their cooperation, and basic knowledge of machining practices.Typical DutiesExecute production schedulesRespond to contingenciesDetermine manpower levels (with the help of scheduling)Provide training and instructionAssign work to Bargaining Unit employeesSchedule overtime when neededMonitor efficiency and correct if necessaryAssist in developing new methodsImprove productivitySupport continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. 5s, CIL, TPM)Implement company quality policies (SPC) (TS 16949 programs)Correct quality problemsUnderstand and Administer labor contractUnderstand and Administer company policies (safety, behavioral, work rules)Keep a productive working atmosphere and relationshipServe as primary contact to bargaining unit workforceManage and record first aid and medical emergenciesPerform lock-up and shut-down procedures at end of weekSupervise monthly and year-end inventoryHandle all incoming phone calls after 4:30 p.m.Direct 2nd shift maintenance as needed
