You'll lead and develop a high-performing team, optimize production performance, and champion continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while growing your leadership career with a global healthcare leader.ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning & SchedulingSchedule and prioritize jobs using ERP systems (Job Boss preferred)Coordinate workflow across multiple work centers to meet production goals and deadlinesTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop team members, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance managementFoster a collaborative, accountable, and safety-first team environmentOperational ExcellenceMonitor daily production performance and track important metrics to drive efficiency and throughputAnalyze manufacturing processes and implement improvements to reduce cycle time and improve efficiencyEnsure optimal machine utilization and proper equipment handlingQuality & ComplianceEnsure adherence to all quality standards, GMPs, and company proceduresMaintain compliance with safety regulations (including hazardous materials and waste handling)Partner with quality teams to resolve issues and improve overall product qualityTechnical OversightSupport CNC machining operations including setup, programming, and troubleshootingCollaborate with tooling vendors to source and improve workholding and cutting toolsAssist with equipment maintenance, minor troubleshooting, and uptime optimizationContinuous ImprovementDrive lean initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across the operationFind opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance outputAdditional ResponsibilitiesTrain employees on equipment use, maintenance, and safety standardsManage resources, including external vendors, to support production goalsPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent experience requiredMinimum 5+ years of machine shop experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory roleExperience in CNC machining environments requiredTechnical SkillsStrong blueprint reading and interpretation skillsExperience with ERP systems (Job Boss preferred)Proficiency in CNC setup and programming (Mastercam preferred)Knowledge of tooling, materials, and machining processesProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)At BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
