Job description
Machine TechnicianWe're seeking a hands-on Machine Technician to support automated production lines in a clean, climate-controlled cosmetic manufacturing facility. This role combines machine operation, troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement, making it an excellent pathway into maintenance and advanced manufacturing careers.ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor automated production, filling, and packaging equipment.Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and escalate complex repairs to maintenance.Perform equipment checks, changeovers, and machine setups.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and minimize waste.Support quality, safety, cGMP compliance, and 5S initiatives.Train and assist operators on equipment operation and best practices.Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to meet performance goals.Qualifications3+ years of machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred.Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.Experience with automated production equipment and changeovers.Ability to diagnose issues, problem-solve, and work in a fast-paced environment.Manufacturing, automotive, military, or similar technical experience highly valued.Familiarity with cGMP, 5S, SPC, or continuous improvement practices is a plus.Why Join Us?Clean, highly automated manufacturing environment.Strong culture focused on teamwork and professional development.Clear growth opportunities into maintenance and technical leadership roles.Stable, fast-growing operation producing leading cosmetic products.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxford, NC.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.75/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
