Machining TechnicianWe are looking for a talented Machining Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Morristown, TN.Job Summary:Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:Ensure Safety: By stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately, you'll help maintain a safe work environment.Report Incidents: Promptly reporting any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards will contribute to a proactive safety culture.Compliance: Adhering to HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations ensures that all safety and environmental guidelines are met.Use PPE: Consistently using appropriate personal protective equipment will protect you and your colleagues from potential hazards.Promote Team Safety: By looking out for one another and promoting interdependence, you'll foster a supportive and safe workplace.Environmental Awareness: Recognizing and minimizing the negative impact of your work on the environment will support sustainability efforts.Quality Control: Following standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures will help maintain high product standards and reduce costs.Continuous Improvement: Actively participating in training and development, and engaging in ways to improve quality, safety, and processes will drive overall team and organizational success.To be successful in this role you will need the following:Effective Communication: Develop and deliver clear, multi-mode communications tailored to the unique needs of different audiences. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.Experience: Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position:Weekend Night Shift- Friday/Saturday/Sunday-7PM-7AMWork 36 Hours = 40 Hours of PayExperience operating CNC machines (1 to 3 years)Ability to read blueprints.Familiarity with measuring instruments.Basic math skills (decimals, fractions, tolerances)Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere.Base Rate: $20.51 - $23.75/hrShift Premium: $1.00/hrAbout Us:Cummins is an equal opportunity employer.
