This position will be supporting our Beavercreek, OH facilities and requires onsite presence due to the nature of the role. We are a world-class manufacturer of composite structures, radomes, and antenna systems for military applications.The role will be responsible for setting up and operating 3 and 5 Axis Milling Machines. This is a great opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist who desires exciting and challenging work to join our team!Essential duties / responsibilities:Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).Align and fasten work using standard fixtures and established methods.Use a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.Perform computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.Program and edit G-Code and conversational.Implement lean initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement.The ideal candidate will be able to work under minimal supervision, be a quick learner, and a team player. He / She will have high integrity and understand the importance of escalating errors to their supervisor immediately.Basic qualifications for a Machinist 2:Must have a high school diploma or equivalent/GED and 2 years of additional education and/or related experienceMust be able to pass a New Hire Physical prior to startMust be able to pass an Eye Exam prior to startMust have experience running machines and setupMust have experience on 3 Axis CNC machinesMust be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security ClearancePreferred qualifications:2 years of experience with 5 Axis CNC vertical machining centers.Active Secret DoD Security ClearanceAssociates degree or Trade School certificationExperience with composite, honeycomb, and aluminum materialsPrimary level salary range: $46,700.00 - $77,900.00. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
