The Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located on the client campus in Santa Rosa, CA exists to provide mechanical solutions that enable the capabilities of the client industry leading electronic measurement equipment. As a machinist you will develop and sustain machining processes utilizing cutting edge machine tools such as Swiss Style Lathes, Single and Multi-Turret Lathes, and 3 to 5 axis Milling centers. Working closely with R&D on microwave applications, you will influence designs for mechanical components and assemblies, ensure design for manufacturability, facilitate release and support production.The client is looking for a highly motivated individual with desire to learn advanced machining skills. This position will require a Career level Machinist with a knack for precision and detail. Must have the willingness to learn, strong teamwork, positive attitude, dedication and job flexibility are a must. In addition, you will interface with Engineering, Maintenance, and Management as well as production/NPI Schedulers. Experience with any/all the following is highly desired:3 to 5 axis MillingSwiss Style LathesMill/Turn Machine CenterAdvanced MetrologyCNC Programming/CAM Programming SoftwareCAD/Solid ModelingTool GrindingInterpreting specifications including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) The client Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
