Here, you will make an impact by:Using Computer Aided Design Software to implement solutions for obtaining desired grinding resultsUse Coordinate Measuring Machine and other measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify work and adjustIdentify and properly manage hazardous wasteParticipating in all safety and regulatory training needed to fulfill the duties of the positionFollow all plant safety rules and regulations.Analyze the performance of equipment and tooling to recommend changes and improvements to equipment and proceduresCommunicating with other departments regarding quality, safety, and equipment issues.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionApplicants meeting the basic qualifications above may be required to take and pass 3M elected testing as part of the selection process.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:This position may require overtime, weekend, and holiday workExcellent mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as, understanding and proficiency with geometry, trigonometry, and machining calculationsComplex reading of drawings and notes.Work location:Onsite – Clarkston, GeorgiaRelocation Assistance: Not AuthorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
