Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.

~ Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.

~ Quality assurance. Inspect machinery for needed repairs, documents repairs, make minor repairs.

~ Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean work area and shop.

~ Read and use machinist scales and indicators.

~ Follow and adhere to all quality protocols.

~ Has the knowledge and ability to run multiple machines in the shop independently without any assistance or training.

~ Ability to effectively train other Machinist Apprentice or Machinist II employees on various machines.

~ Ability to work overtime as needed.

High School Diploma/GED and/or Equivalent work experience

~ Manufacturing or shop experience (2-3 years)

~ Read and write English; Convert fractions to decimals, able to read machinist scales.
