Company Description William T. Stanford established Bettendorf Stanford in 1965 when he purchased the assets of the Bettendorf Company of Bettendorf, Iowa. The Bettendorf Company was the original manufacturer of the micro bread slicer and slicer blades. With the purchase, the company was moved from Iowa to Salem, Illinois, where it remains today. Salem is 75 miles of St. Louis, Missouri.

Our company has rapidly expanded, since it's beginnings in remanufacturing used machines. We now design, build, sell and install our machines in bakeries all over the country and overseas. Many of the component parts are manufactured in-house, from the slicer blades to the large machines that slice and bag products that you use every day.
