Job description

Machinist IWork Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.We are seeking a Machinist I to produce precision components through the operation and programming of CNC and manual machining equipment. In this role, you will set up machines, interpret technical drawings, and ensure parts are manufactured to strict tolerances and quality standards. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams to optimize machining processes, improve efficiency, and maintain high-quality production output.Key Responsibilities:Program and operate CNC lathes and milling machines to perform precision machining operationsSet up machines, fixtures, and tooling to ensure accurate part productionInterpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications to determine machining methodsSelect and recommend appropriate tooling, feeds, and speeds for machining operationsPerform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure tolerance and quality requirements are metMaintain tight tolerances and dimensional accuracy across complex machining operationsTroubleshoot machining issues and identify defective materials or abnormal conditionsCollaborate with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure product qualityDesign or modify fixtures and tooling to support production and special engineering needsMaintain equipment, work area cleanliness, and adherence to all safety proceduresRequired Skills and Qualifications:Associates degree in Machine Technology or related field or equivalent experience (at least 5 years relevant experience)Strong knowledge of machining processes, tools, and equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical specificationsStrong mathematical skills (geometry, tolerances, measurements)Ability to maintain high precision and tight tolerancesStrong problem-solving, decision-making, collaboration, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasksPreferred Skills and Qualifications:Experience with CNC programming (lathe and milling)Experience designing or modifying fixtures and toolingExperience working in a manufacturing or precision machining environmentPhysical Demand and Work Environment:The physical demands and work environmental characteristics described here are representative of those an employee must meet, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Work Environment:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Work Type: Onsite -This role follows an Onsite Work Schedule and requires working from your designated Regal Rexnord office on a full-time basis.Expected Base Salary Range:$42,000 - $53,500The salary range provided is intended to display the value of the company's base pay compensation for this position. Salary is dependent on a multitude of factors, including but not limited to the physical worksite location, the geographic market of that location, candidate's skill set, level of experience, education and internal peer compensation comparisons among other potential factors.This role may be filled at different levels depending on the candidate's experience, skills, and business needs.Export Controlled:Restrictions imposed by federal export control laws may limit this job opportunity to candidates who are a 'U.S. Person', which includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents, individuals granted asylum in the United States, and refugees in the United States, or who otherwise can qualify for a license that permits them to hold the position.Sponsorship:Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship to obtain or keep U.S. work authorization
