Join us!The Machinist II will perform machining tasks (Grinding, Turning, Milling) to tight tolerance, minimize scrap and rework, perform PMs on a regular basis, lead machine safety and workplace compliance requirements, maintain an inventory of tooling and fixtures, work effectively with vendors in ordering and acquiring tooling.We are offering a $2,000 Sign-on Bonus (paid after completing 30 days of employment).This role is based at our facility in Tucson, AZ.1st shift and 2nd shift positions are available.1st Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm2nd Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:00 pm - 9:30 pmYou will have the opportunity to :Operate multiple CNC and conventional machines and/or equipmentEvaluate equipment needs and ensure suitable replacement parts are availableMake process suggestions for programming new and existing productPrioritize production orders or processing requirements and respond accordinglySetup, run, inspect, clean orders, as neededTrain other employees on proper equipment operation and/or setupREQUIREMENTS :HS Diploma or GEDNIMS/Journeyman/Trade School Certification preferred4 or more years of experience with CNC and Conventional machines and equipmentKnowledge of product quality concepts, ISO principles, and GD&TIntermediate computer skills, including SAP or similar ERP systems and MS OfficeWorking knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and MetrologyThis position is approximately 60% running multiple machines and 40% setups and support of operatorsThe selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).Materion Corporation and its subsidiaries (the "Company") is an equal employment opportunity employer.
