Machinist III Sink Operators
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Machinist III Sink Operators for projects located in or around Ocala, FL. This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate starts at $45/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:
Set up and operate highly complex welded assemblies and fabricated components
Establish custom datum strategies for irregular fabrications
Lead first-run prove-outs for new parts and processes
Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs directly from blueprints and specifications
Optimize tool paths to improve efficiency, tool life, and production output
Maintain program revision control in accordance with ISO requirements
Design and build custom fixtures and tooling
Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle times and scrap
Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
Train and mentor Level I and Level II Machinists
Serve as a technical resource and shop floor leader
Act as backup to the supervisor when needed
Support ISO audits and quality initiatives
Requirements:
5–8 years of machining experience
Advanced CNC programming experience
Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to perform complex setups and process development
Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills
Experience developing fixtures and machining strategies
Ability to troubleshoot machining and manufacturing issues
High School Diploma or equivalent
Technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to fabricate or modify tooling while maintaining process control
Commitment to quality, consistency, safety, and compliance
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. with or without assistance
Ability to work safely around moving equipment and fabricated metal components
