Hands-on Machinist needed for manual mills and lathes—tight tolerances, quality work, consistent schedule.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Machinist/Manual Mill Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 25.50 to $ 35.00 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:45am to 05:00pm)Set up and operate manual mills and lathes to machine precision parts.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.Maintain tight tolerances and ensure quality of finished parts.Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.Adjust machine settings (speed, feed, depth) for optimal performanceMachinist/Manual Mill Qualifications:2+ years of experience operating manual mills and lathes required.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and GD&TStrong understanding of shop math and precision measuring toolsExperience with Bridgeport and Prototrak preferred.Reliable attendance and ability to work independently with minimal supervisionApplicant may be subject to a background check*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
