MachinistTradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Machinists for projects located in the Portage, IN area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $35-40/hour based on experience and skill level. If you are a Machinist and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity, and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!Job Scope:Set up and operate CNC horizontal and vertical mills, horizontal boring mills, and turning centers within a custom job-shop environmentWork with Mazak, Haas, Kia, and Tongtai equipment, including Mazak HCN, VTC, Quick Turn, Slant Turn, and Integrex machinesRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specificationsSelect tooling, establish work offsets, load programs, and make necessary program adjustmentsSet up fixtures, pallet systems, hydraulic steady rests, and Renishaw probing equipmentPerform first-piece inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring instrumentsSafely move and position materials using overhead cranes and jib cranesTroubleshoot machining issues, adjust tooling and offsets, and maintain quality throughout productionFollow shop safety procedures and maintain an organized work area
