Machinist/Machine OperatorLocation: Richmond, VA Type: Contract to Hire (720 Hours worked) Compensation: 22-28/hr Work Model: Onsite Hours: 40.0 Shifts: 1ST- 6am-2:30pm or 2ND- 3pm-11:30pm M-FQualificationsAbility to work 1st or 2nd shiftProven mechanical aptitudeSuccessful experience working with mechanical equipmentBackground in hands on troubleshooting with machineryAbility to use measuring devices (calipers, tape measures, etc.)Team player interested in improving the overall performance of the equipment and the teamAbility to lift 50 poundsAble to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and stoop and/or bend frequentlyAble to follow directionsAble to interpret drawings, routers and special notes once trainedResponsibilitiesThese machines use high precision custom tooling for heat exchanger manufacturingWe operate in a fast-paced environment with frequent change oversExperience with CNC, Fin Punch Press and/or ExpanderOperate metal working equipment to consistently and efficiently to produce quality partsUse blueprints and router information to set-up tooling and machines accuratelyPerform daily preventative maintenance tasksAs an active team member in the area, participate in continuous improvement activities to improve safety, quality, productivity and tooling lifeSafely use electric, pneumatic, floor and hand toolsID and tag unsafe equipment
