Join a team where you'll create custom metal components, work with advanced equipment, and enjoy a 4-day workweek with three-day weekends every week.A well-established metal fabrication manufacturer with decades of experience producing custom aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel products for a wide range of manufacturing and industrial customers.Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Machinist Details:Temp-to-Hire position$ 20.00 / hourFull Time work availableFirst Shift ( Monday through Thursday from 05:00am to 03:30pm )Analyzing specification charts, samples, and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements.Developing a plan of action to manufacture parts according to specifications.Measuring and marking raw materials needed to manufacture parts.Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan.Operating equipment to carry out each step correctly.Monitoring the production process and intervening when problems arise.Inspecting finished parts for flaws and defects.Maintaining equipment located throughout the machine shop.Machinist Qualifications:Previous CNC programming experience preferred.Understanding of material properties & characteristics.Working knowledge of various measuring gages: micrometers, pin gages, dial indicator, screw pitch gage, height gage, and comparator stand/gage.Advanced Computer Knowledge.Ability to do trigonometry and geometrical math computations.Ability to interact effectively with management, manufacturing personnel, and both technical and non-technical people.Applicant may be subject to a background checkPre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
