Machinist Technician – CNC MachinistParker Hannifin's Commercial Flight Controls Division is seeking highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinists to join its manufacturing operation in Ogden, Utah. These are direct-hire opportunities supporting the production of precision components for the aerospace industry.This opportunity is designed for experienced machinists who can do more than simply operate a machine. Successful candidates should be comfortable with machine setup, tooling, offsets, process adjustments, blueprint interpretation, precision inspection, troubleshooting, and machining close-tolerance components with limited supervision.The ideal candidates will have a strong background in CNC machining, with particular interest in individuals experienced with Swiss lathes, grinding, CNC mills, and/or manual machining. Candidates should be able to independently evaluate machining conditions, troubleshoot production issues, make adjustments, and maintain the quality and efficiency of their work.This is NOT an Entry-Level Machine Operator Position. We are specifically seeking experienced CNC Machinists who can independently perform complex setups and machining operations.Strong candidates may have experience with:CNC Swiss lathesCNC turningCNC millingPrecision grindingManual machiningComplex machine setupsTight-tolerance aerospace componentsTooling and fixture setupCNC offsets and adjustmentsProcess troubleshootingPrecision inspection and measurementWe are looking for a career-level machinist, not someone whose experience is limited to loading and unloading CNC machines. The strongest candidates will be able to explain:How they perform a CNC setup from start to finishHow they select and change toolingHow they establish or adjust offsetsHow they troubleshoot dimensional or machining problemsHow they read complex blueprintsHow they inspect precision componentsHow they determine whether a part is within toleranceHow they work with Engineering to resolve manufacturing issuesWhat types of CNC equipment they have personally operatedTheir experience with Swiss lathes, mills, grinders, and manual machinesThe tightest tolerances and most complex components they have machinedBefore submitting a candidate, confirm:How many years of hands-on CNC machining experience do you have?How much of your experience is as a CNC Machinist versus Machine Operator?What CNC machines have you personally set up and operated?Do you have experience with Swiss lathes?Do you have experience with CNC mills?Do you have experience with grinding or manual machining?Can you independently perform a complete CNC setup, including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and adjustments?What types of materials and components have you machined?Have you worked with tight-tolerance or precision components?
