Position: Mainframe CICS System Administrator Location: Phoenix, AZ area (3 days onsite)
Duration: 12+ months Contract
Mainframe CICS System Administrator
As a Mainframe CICS System Administrator , you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You'll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world.
This role requires employees to live in or around the Phoenix, AZ area. You will be responsible to be onsite 3 days a week.
We will consider candidates who are willing to relocate to the area.
CICS Administration & Maintenance:
Install, upgrade, and maintain CICS Transaction Server (CICS TS) environments
Apply patches (PTFs), manage version upgrades, and perform regression validation
Configure and maintain CICS regions (production, test, DR)
Maintain startup parameters and system initialization tables (DFHSIT)
Performance Monitoring & Tuning:
Monitor transaction performance and system health using tools such as:
OMEGAMON / MainView / TMON
Analyze:
Transaction response times
CPU utilization
Storage usage
Perform tuning to eliminate bottlenecks
