Responsible for analyzing user requirements and then designing, building, and testing software applications that will satisfy those requirements.

NOTE

Job Description

Support a team of mainframe software engineers in the development of software products and solutions, providing guidance, code reviews, and technical support.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, ensuring the successful delivery of software projects.

Assist in the professional growth and mentorship of team members through regular feedback, coaching, and career development planning.

Contribute to the execution of the software engineering strategy, participating in strategic discussions and technology assessments.

Manage project tasks and assignments, helping to prioritize and plan work to meet project goals.

Monitor project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets to ensure efficient project execution.

Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, working to resolve issues as they arise.

Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Core Responsibilities

System Operations & Stability

Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability (uptime, monitoring, incident/problem management).

Manage system security, access controls, and compliance (SOX, GxP, GDPR).

Oversee integrations with other applications and platforms.

Project Leadership & Implementation

Lead ERP customer requests (new implementations, upgrades, enhancements) from planning to go-live.

Manage scope, budget, timelines, resources, and risks.

Coordinate with vendors, internal teams (IT, Finance, HR), and stakeholders.

Business Process Optimization

Analyze business needs and align ERP functionality with organizational goals.

Identify inefficiencies and champion automation, standardization, and continuous improvement.

Develop and enforce policies for system use and data management.

Team & Stakeholder Management

Lead, mentor, and develop internal ERP teams and partner resources.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders across departments (Finance, IT, Operations).

Support & Troubleshooting

Provide technical and functional support, resolving issues and analyzing root causes.

Create and maintain system documentation.

Key Skills & Knowledge

Deep understanding of ERP software (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) and business processes.

Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience

Typically, 6+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role years of experience in software engineering

Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies

Strong programming and debugging skills

Some prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity

Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices

Good communication and teamwork skills

Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role

Strong organizational and time management skills

Additional Requirements

This role supports an ITAR-compliant client account with specific security and work authorization requirements:

Must be ITAR-compliant and able to provide proof of citizenship.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future sponsorship.

Applicants must reside in the continental United States on US Soil, Puerto Rico is not exempt for this account.

Work Environment

Remote, US (preferably CT) - Ideal candidate will be available for on-site engagement with client.

Client based in Waterford, CT

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $60,600 - $112,500.

Full-time hires are eligible to participate in the DXC benefit program.
