Job description

Maintenance AideThe Maintenance Aide supports the upkeep of public housing units and grounds through light repairs, painting, cleaning, and general maintenance. This role ensures units are move-in ready and common areas remain safe and clean. Work is performed independently or under supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with unit turns: painting, minor repairs, and cleaningPerform light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasksMaintain and clean common areas, grounds, and public spacesReplace lighting, repair fixtures, and service small appliancesOperate landscaping and maintenance tools/equipmentSupport pest control efforts and apply basic treatmentsMaintain tools, equipment, and work logsAssist Maintenance Mechanic and Property Management as neededQualificationsPrior experience in maintenance, construction, or related tradesAbility to read/follow instructions and perform physical tasksProficient with hand and power toolsBasic math and familiarity with maintenance proceduresValid driver's license and insurable recordAble to lift 50 lbs and work in all weather conditionsRequirementsEnroll in Alabama Certified Apprentice Program within 30 daysComplete annual Fair Housing and Sexual Harassment trainingTalantage, LLC is committed to presenting candidates that contribute to an organizations culture of inclusivity and its commitment to diversity in the workplace are demonstrated through our recruitment practices.
