Job description
Maintenance Assistant IIEuclid Public Library is seeking a responsible, detail oriented, self-starter to fill a open full-time Maintenance Assistant II position. Custodial duties for this position include, but are not limited to opening the building, cleaning restrooms and offices, vacuuming, trash removal, snow removal and meeting room set-up. Building services duties for this position include, but are not limited to assisting with electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems and other related building projects; troubleshooting building issues; repairing and assembling office equipment, furniture, and shelves; repairing electrical fixtures and plumbing fixtures and maintaining equipment. Working knowledge of HVAC and lighting control software systems is an asset. Minimum requirements: high school diploma, or equivalent required, with a minimum of two-year's experience in custodial or building services. A valid Ohio driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required. A valid low pressure boiler license preferred. Work requires heavy/hard physical effort: lifting or moving heavy materials or furniture weighing thirty pounds or more; shoveling snow; climbing ladders; or working from a lift at 25 to 30 feet; frequent bending, stooping, and/or kneeling; fair working conditions. Work hours: 40 hours per week, Schedule - Monday through Thursday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM; every other Saturday; Sunday rotation 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM (October to May). Responds to emergencies during off-duty hours as needed. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the library. Starting Range: $15.76 to $27.57 per hour with health, dental, life and paid leave benefits.
