Job description

Maintenance AssistantJoin our team at Chestnut Woods Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center as a Maintenance Assistant. Part-time opportunity available Daily Pay! Pay: $17-$18 an hour At Chestnut Woods Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, we believe that a safe, well-maintained environment is essential to resident comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in ensuring our facility remains safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff.Responsibilities for Maintenance Assistant:Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications for Maintenance Assistant:High school diploma or equivalent required.One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Our Core Values in ActionPassion – Taking pride in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for residents and staff.Respect – Responding to maintenance needs with urgency, care, and consideration for resident comfort and dignity.Excellence – Delivering reliable, high-quality maintenance services that ensure a safe and welcoming facility environment.Benefits for Maintenance Assistant:Tuition reimbursementEmployee referral bonusHealth, vision, and dental benefits401(k) with matchEmployee engagement and culture committeeCompany-sponsored life insuranceEmployee assistance program (EAP) resourcesJoin our team at Chestnut Woods Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, a 88-bed Sub-Acute, and Long-Term Care facility where compassion and quality care are at the heart of everything we do.
