As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll work alongside a supportive team while helping maintain a facility where residents can feel safe, comfortable, and at home.Full-Time Benefits Include:Competitive PayMedical, Dental & Vision InsurancePaid Time Off & Holiday Pay401(k) with Employer MatchContinuing Education & Training OpportunitiesStable Full-Time EmploymentOpportunities for Career GrowthYour work helps create an environment where residents feel safe, families feel confident, and staff can focus on providing exceptional care.Every repair completed, every preventative maintenance check performed, and every project finished contributes directly to the quality of life of the people we serve.If you're dependable, hands-on, and enjoy solving problems while making a meaningful impact every day, apply today and become part of the West Roxbury Health & Rehabilitation Center team.As a Maintenance Assistant, you'll help ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and operating efficiently by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and general building upkeep.Responsibilities include:Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the facility, including resident rooms and common areasAssist with plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and basic mechanical repairsComplete preventative maintenance tasks on building systems and equipmentRespond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needsMaintain accurate maintenance logs and documentationPerform routine inspections to identify safety hazards and repair needsAssist with equipment setup, moving furniture, and facility projectsFollow OSHA, infection prevention, and facility safety standardsMaintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized mannerWork collaboratively with all departments to support daily operations and resident comfortWhat We're Looking For:High School Diploma or GED preferredAt least one year of maintenance, facilities, construction, or building operations experience preferredExperience in healthcare, long-term care, hospitality, or commercial facilities is a plusBasic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general repairsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and prioritize multiple tasksExcellent customer service and communication skillsAbility to safely lift, carry, and move equipment as neededThis position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.
