Job description
CarpenterSupports the maintenance and upkeep of IMG Academy's campus buildings and facilities by performing skilled carpentry work.Position Responsibilities:Construct, install, repair, and maintain building structures, furniture, doors, windows, cabinetry, and other wood or composite fixturesPerform repairs to drywall, framing, flooring, trim, and other interior/exterior finishesInspect campus buildings to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns; complete assigned work orders in a timely mannerAssure safety standards comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelinesOperate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely and effectivelyAssist with classroom, office, and facility modifications or refurbishments as neededCollaborate with maintenance and facilities staff to support broader campus projectsMaintain a clean and organized workspace and follow all safety proceduresMaintain a professional and courteous attitude with all student-athletes, team members, guests, contractors, and vendorsOther duties as assigned by managementQualifications:Valid Florida Driver's License or the ability to obtain onePrior carpentry experience required; experience in commercial, institutional, or school environments preferredStrong knowledge of woodworking practices, building materials, and safe tool operationAbility to read and interpret drawings, measurements, and work specificationsAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlinesBasic electrical principle and plumbing systems understandingPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Ability to lift, carry, move, push and pull equipment or boxes up to 50lbsAbility to stand and walk for duration of shiftAbility to climb ladders and work at high elevationsAbility to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.Ability to work on various indoor and outdoor surfaces including grass, turf, courts, etc. in all weatherAbility to operate office equipment such as computersRequires manual dexterity to use and operate equipment and toolsAbility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as neededBackground Requirements:Requires a background check upon offerRequires a drug test upon offerThis position requires a Florida Level 2 Background Screening.
