What you get to do in Maintenance nights:
The Controls Technician provides after-hours technical support to keep production equipment running safely and efficiently. This role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical and industrial control systems-particularly PLC-controlled equipment-during night-shift operations. Responsibilities include diagnosing electrical issues (480VAC/120VAC/24VDC), resolving problems with PLCs, drives, sensors, and control panels, and using Studio 5000 for basic logic and fault analysis. The technician responds to emergency breakdowns, follows strict electrical safety protocols, communicates status updates to operations teams, documents all work performed, and contributes to reliability and continuous improvement efforts.
What we are looking for:
High school diploma/GED required; technical training preferred
Experience in industrial or heavy manufacturing environments
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, PLC controls, and Rockwell Studio 5000
Ability to troubleshoot independently under pressure and work night/on-call shifts
Preferred: Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, VFDs, servos, HMIs, and Ethernet/IP
Familiarity with LOTO and electrical safe-work practices
