Job description

Maintenance ElectricianThe Stow Company is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Maintenance Electrician located in Nampa, ID. We are the country's premier source for custom closets and organizational solutions; designed, custom-cut, and shipped directly to our clients.Position Summary:This position maintains production equipment and the working facility to enable teams to safely manufacture high quality products in an efficient, timely and complete manner.Essential Functions:Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipmentComplete a variety of projects as assignedTroubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, and PLC issuesUtilize basic machining tools, powered hand tools, and other maintenance-related equipmentRead machine drawings and control schematicsApply electrical, electronic, and PLC experienceOther Responsibilities:Adhere to all safety requirementsParticipate in problem-solving initiatives, Kaizen events, and lean manufacturing activitiesOther duties as assignedLives Company values on a daily basisPoses no direct threat to the health or safety of themselves, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodationRequires regular attendance to perform essential elements as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for workEstablishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation, and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilitiesBasic Qualifications:Education & Experience:Journeyman Electricians License issued by the state of Idaho5-10 years Manufacturing/Industrial Automation experience preferredCertifications/Licenses/Registrations:Valid driver's licenseKnowledge / Skills/Abilities:Demonstrate excellent listening and communication skillsExhibit strong attention to detailSolid analytical skillsAble to work quickly and efficientlyAble to work both independently and as part of a teamActively participates in all team meetings and eventsInterpersonal skills in order to work effectively with individuals both internally and externally to The Stow CompanyMust have the ability to interface with all levels of personnel in an office and a manufacturing environmentAbility to take the initiative and work well independently with little supervision, and as part of a teamPhysical Requirements & Work Environment:Able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, etc.Able to perform full range of body movements, such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawlingAble to perform activities requiring repetitive motionsAble to lift, push and pull up to 50 poundsAble to tolerate an environment where sawdust particles are presentAbility to provide and receive communication in an environment with a high level of ambient noisePossesses strong visual acuitySitting at workstation approximately 5 percent of work timeStanding and walking approximately 95 percent of work timeMust be able to travel between plant and office locationsAbility to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short noticeManufacturing environment with multiple machinery and moving parts, narrow aisles and passagewaysThe Stow Company may temporarily assign any team member with duties outside of their normal responsibilities. Such assignments may be warranted due to a variety of specific requirements, conditions and/or the capabilities of available personnel.
