Job description
Maintenance ElectricianThis role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving electrical and electromechanical systems across a fast-paced industrial operation. The Maintenance Electrician ensures equipment reliability, minimizes unplanned downtime, supports production goals, and helps maintain a safe working environment. You will work both independently and collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams, applying strong industrial electrical experience, solid troubleshooting skills, and a working knowledge of mechanical systems.ResponsibilitiesMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, controls, and electromechanical equipment to support reliable plant operations.Install, modify, and upgrade electrical systems and components in accordance with applicable codes and safety standards.Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and electromechanical systems to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.Diagnose and resolve issues in electrical, instrumentation, and control systems using effective troubleshooting methods.Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and ladder logic diagrams to support installation, maintenance, and repair activities.Work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems to identify faults and restore proper operation.Install and maintain conduit, including bending, routing, and wire pulling, to support new and existing electrical installations.Service and calibrate instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level devices to ensure accurate and reliable operation.Support combustion systems and burner management controls by performing inspections, adjustments, and repairs as needed.Perform both electrical and mechanical repairs on equipment, including basic welding and fabrication tasks where applicable.Collaborate closely with maintenance and operations personnel to prioritize tasks, coordinate work, and support production goals.Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable safety standards while consistently promoting a safe work environment.Document maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications to ensure accurate records and support continuous improvement efforts.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.Essential SkillsExperience installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial electrical systems and controls.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and ladder logic diagrams.Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems.Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.Experience with instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level devices.Knowledge of combustion systems and burner management controls.Ability to perform conduit installation, bending, and wire pulling.Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable safety standards.Ability to perform both electrical and mechanical repairs.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.Additional Skills & QualificationsBasic welding and fabrication skills preferred.Experience working in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment.Comfort collaborating with cross-functional maintenance and operations teams.Why Work Here?Maintenance professionals are recognized as key contributors to operational success and are supported with a stable work environment, meaningful technical challenges, and opportunities for professional growth.
