2nd shift 2pm-10pm -Maintenance Mechanic
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic with a strong background in a manufacturing plant environment. Experience in food manufacturing is strongly preferred; candidates from other regulated manufacturing industries will also be considered if they have knowledge of cGMP, HACCP, and food safety practices.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. Bilingual Spanish/English skills are a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment and production machinery.
Maintain and repair filling machines, homogenizers, pumps, conveyor belts, and refrigeration systems.
Perform stainless steel welding and fabrication as needed.
Diagnose mechanical issues and minimize production downtime.
Follow cGMP, HACCP, food safety, and workplace safety procedures.
Conduct routine equipment inspections and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
Previous maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing plant environment is required.
Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of cGMP, HACCP, and food safety standards.
Hands-on experience with filling machines, homogenizers, pumps, belts, and refrigeration systems.
Stainless steel welding experience required.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to equipment breakdowns in a fast-paced production environment.
