HUDMED is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shop Technician to join our Shop Operations & Logistics team. In this role, you will play a critical part in our daily operations—ranging from equipment refurbishment and shop maintenance to conducting professional hospital deliveries.
nThe ideal candidate takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe workspace, possesses strong attention to detail regarding documentation, and delivers excellent customer service when interacting with hospital staff and clinical personnel.
nKey Responsibilities
nEquipment Maintenance & Preparation
nnEquipment Refurbishment: Sand, prep, paint, and detail IV poles/pulls to meet facility specifications and high quality standards.
nShipment & Packout Prep: Assist the Shop Manager with staging, packing, loading, and prepping equipment for daily shipments and deliveries.
n nFacility & Vehicle Operations
nnVehicle Upkeep: Wash and maintain the interior and exterior of all company service and delivery vehicles on a regular schedule.
nShop & Office Maintenance: Ensure shop floors are swept daily, tools are organized, and general office maintenance/cleanout chores are kept up.
nFacility Cleanliness: Perform scheduled maintenance and sanitation tasks, including cleaning shop refrigeration units and clearing building gutters.
n nHospital Deliveries & Field Work
nnEquipment Transportation: Transport medical equipment and supplies safely directly to client medical facilities and hospitals.
nOn-Site Communication: Navigate specific hospital departments, communicating clearly, politely, and professionally with hospital personnel and clinical staff.
nStrict Delivery Documentation:
nnnEnsure physical Sign-Off Sheets are brought to every delivery location.
nSecure mandatory signatures from authorized hospital personnel upon drop-off completion.

nActivity Logging: Accurately log delivery progress, time on-site, and customer interactions in real-time within the company logging system.
n nDaily & Weekly Reporting Requirements
nAccurate time tracking and record-keeping are required for this role:

nDaily Task Logging
nRecord all completed shop tasks, IV prep, vehicle washes, and deliveries in the company system in real time.

nHour Tracking
nAccurately log all working hours (including shop work, travel, and hospital site visits).
nDaily
nWeekly Reporting
nCompile and submit total tracked hours along with detailed daily task logs to the Shop Manager.
nEvery Friday (EOD)
nQualifications & Key Competencies
nnCustomer-First Mindset: Exceptionally polite, responsive, and professional when representing HUDMED inside client facilities.
nAccountability & Precision: High attention to detail regarding delivery sign-off sheets, task cataloging, and time tracking (100% compliance expected).
nSafety & Craftsmanship: Ability to safely perform hands-on shop duties, including sanding, painting, prep work, and equipment handling.
nPhysical Capability: Ability to lift, pack, and transport equipment, as well as navigate large hospital facilities on foot.
nReliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and self-motivation to execute both independent shop tasks and scheduled field deliveries.
